SEO experts suspect that another update of the ranking algorithm is taking place in Google, which, according to tradition, has not yet been confirmed by the company. This conclusion made it possible to make large fluctuations recorded in Google’s SERP monitoring tool.
Active discussions regarding the global algorithm update began on the Webmaster World forum back on February 7 and only intensified in the following days.
Below are some comments from the forum:
“I found that my organic search traffic from Google dropped between 30% and 40% since 11:30 am on February 7th.”
“My traffic grew by 30%, but at the same time revenues fell by almost half. Irrelevant traffic ”.
“I have a new product section on my site, but despite this, the information in the coverage section of GSC indicates that I have lost 15% of indexed pages.”
“The attendance rate fell 22% on Monday. This usually doesn’t happen. “
“In the US, traffic dropped 65% overnight by 8:00 am EST. The UK, EU and other countries are still stable in this regard. We can only hope that this traffic situation is temporary. “
On the Russian-language forum SearchEngines.guru, a possible update was discussed back on February 5th.
“A competitor without a single link (commerce) and with such a PageSpeed has taken a confident position in the TOP-3 in both the main and the category.”
“Which topic and region are affected by these symptoms? – “Medicine, ecom, ya”.
“Well, that’s it and shot. Not so weak ”(screenshot below):
