It is convenient to create advertising campaigns for Yandex.Direct in an Excel template. However, it can be difficult to add an image link for ads.
In the new video Nikita Kravchenko, Leading Paid Traffic Specialist at eLama, will tell you how to make sure that your campaign with images loads correctly.
How to add images to Search or YAN campaigns
Before launching a campaign, advertisers prepare an Excel template that contains titles, links, and other ad parameters. This template can be uploaded directly to the Yandex.Direct web interface or using Direct Commander.
The template has a separate column “Images”. If you add a regular link to a picture from the Internet to this column, then most likely such an image will not be added. Yandex will not be able to process the link correctly.
How to add images via Excel? There is a way!
1. Upload the pictures that you want to use in Search or YAN in Yandex.Disk.
2. Select the image you want by clicking on “Open original”.
3. Copy the long link to this image and paste it into the Excel template.
4. For each ad group, insert the necessary links to images from Yandex.Disk and save the changes.
Then you can try uploading the Excel file via Direct Commander.
When importing a file, the Commander shows a notification that there are two images. Click “Continue”.
After loading, you can switch to the preview and see if the images were loaded correctly.
The same method of adding images works correctly in Yandex.Direct itself.
You need to go to campaign management and download the Excel file. Pictures should be loaded.
These ads may still need to be improved if a widescreen picture or other changes are needed. But the fact that you can add images to Direct via Excel is obvious.
