Consider one of the best tools for maintaining social networks in a semi-automatic mode.
Why do you need SMMplanner and where can you use it?
The name of the utility fully reflects its essence. SMMPlanner is a tool for SMM professionals to schedule posts at the right time.
Scheduling helps to correctly allocate the time of publication of posts so that as many people as possible see them and the break between the appearance of new posts on the page is not too long. This favorably affects both the behavioral factors of the audience visiting your brand / company pages on social networks, and the “loyalty†of social media algorithms.
You can connect several accounts from social networks to SMMPlanner at once: VK, Instagram, Twitter, OK.ru, Facebook. And you can also connect to messengers, but only to Telegram and Viber.
The main advantages of SMMplanner
Many SMMs prefer SMMplanner as their primary social media posting tool because it compares favorably with most competitors:
The program interface has been translated into Russian. The program is easier to get used to for those who are poorly familiar with the English-language terminology in the field of SMM. Although this happens quite rarely.
The function of publishing 7 on sites at once. Many competitors, due to technical limitations, do not support scheduling Instagram posts. This is the main advantage of SMMplanner.
Ability to schedule up to hundreds of posts every month for free.
A fairly long trial period, during which you can evaluate all the features of the program for free without restrictions (any number of posts and access to all settings).
Built-in image editor for interesting post design.
Support for UTM tags – software beacons that help collect data about users who clicked on a post and went to the page / profile promoted in the post.
Protection of transmitted data and social networks connected to the service.
The ability to install watermarks to prevent copying of content.
Disadvantages of the program
Despite the large number of advantages and the presence of unique functions, users also note disadvantages. First of all, people complain about the technical support of the service. On otzoviks full of statements in the spirit of “waiting for a response from technical support for 2 days, no one got in touch” or “if you are ready for rudeness from technical support, then you can use it.” And, judging by the reviews, most people have this experience of communicating with SMMplanner employees.
Some users complain that after connecting the service to their Instagram accounts, their social media profiles were blocked. I had to pay extra for a separate proxy server, but it didn t always help.
Also, some SMMs reported frequent failures in the work of the scheduler (posts did not appear at the right time, the profiles of some social networks were not connected, although their support was announced).
How to work with SMMplanner
This scheduler is fairly easy to learn. The service developers have created an intuitive interface that you can easily get used to on your own, but we will still analyze its structure.
Create an account
The first thing to do is register with the SMMplanner service.
Go to the official website of the application and click on the “Get Started” button.
Then we click on the link “Registration”. In the form that appears, indicate the login, mail and password.
At the same stage, you can specify the invitation code. He guarantees additional bonuses. For example, an increased number of free publications per month or an extension of the free trial period.
That s all. The SMMplanner account is ready. You can start getting to know the service and scheduling posts.
Add social media accounts
The next step after creating an account in SMMplanner is connecting social networks.
The service will offer to connect the first social network immediately after registration. To do this, you need to click on the “Connect your first Social Account” button. The service will take you to the “Accounts” section.
A list of available social networks will appear on the right side of the window. Choose the one in which you want to schedule posts. In my case, it will be Twitter. The connection is carried out through the official APIs (programming interfaces for developers that ensure the security of transmitted data) of instant messengers and social networks.
Often the whole procedure is reduced to clicking the “Authorize a third-party application” button.
True, this does not always work and not with all accounts. In my case, the failure occurred more than once at the stage of connecting to Twitter. The service responded with an error, and the Twitter server sent an error 403. Sometimes such failures can be associated with the incorrect operation of the API, and sometimes with incorrect account settings (the absence of a phone number in the profile, etc.).
Setting up post publishing
If you already have an account in the service and the necessary social networks are connected to it, then it s time to move on to creating a post and planning it in the appropriate section. For this:
Go to the “Posts” section. This is the first tab in the sidebar of the SMMplanner interface.
Click on the “Schedule Post” button. Or “Schedule a Story” for Instagram.
In a special field, enter the text. You can also attach a photo or video to the post.
At first glance, the window for adding a new post looks too simple, but it is quite functional. It saves the state of unfinished posts, allows you to set up automatic deletion, notifications, etc.
Editing images
We should also talk about the built-in image editor. To use it, you first need to transfer the photo / picture to the new post creation window, and then click on the pencil-shaped icon to the left of the added media file.
Here you can crop your photo, add one of the Instagram filters and adjust its saturation. You can manually color correct by adjusting the colors to match the overall style of the profile.
You can add text and stickers (also from Instagram) or even draw something of your own over the image.
Even more interesting, images can be edited with Canva. It is built into SMMplanner and is available to all registered (in Canva) users. There s even more photo editing tools out there.
Setting other parameters
There are also a number of sections and settings that do not require your attention right after you start working with SMMplanner, but are useful enough to familiarize yourself with and use in the future.
Projects
This is the second tab in the sidebar. In it, you can combine posts into projects to make it easier to track planned content, as well as collect and group statistics.
Proxy
By using a proxy server, you can avoid account lockouts and other complexities when publishing content. To enable it, you need to open the settings section (it is available by clicking on your nickname), then select the “Proxy Management” subsection, and then click the “Add” button in it and specify the proxy server data.
Commands
You can work on posts together with colleagues. To do this, you need to add them to the email address through the “Commands” section of the settings. There you need to give each invitee one of three roles: observer, editor or manager. The first can only watch posts, the second can edit them, and the third manages the entire account.
UTM tags
These are beacons that collect data about users who click on ads and links posted on social media. With the help of them, you can evaluate the effectiveness of the selected promotion strategy and advertising campaign.
How much does SMMplanner cost?
The cost depends on the selected tariff. There are 4 paid and one free.
With a free account in SMMplanner, the user will be able to:
Add standard posts with photos.
Add up to 100 posts per month.
Edit added pictures.
Put watermarks on published images.
With a Pro account, the list of possibilities expands:
The number of posts and stories per month becomes unlimited.
The number of posts that can be published at one time also becomes unlimited.
Access to the “Commands” section appears.
Now you can attach videos and GIFs to posts.
There are three more accounts, but they differ from the standard Pro only in the number of connected accounts and the number of teams. Therefore, they should be considered only for large businesses that employ a lot of SMM specialists.
Instead of a conclusion
That s all. SMMplanner is a convenient way to make life easier for marketers and SMMs. Post scheduling makes filling pages easier and more convenient. It will appeal to both social media users and algorithms that analyze brand accounts. SMMplanner is one of the best planners, surpassing in some way even the famous competitors in the spirit of Hootsuite. It is definitely worth trying, especially when there is a trial period.
