Today Nikita Kravchenko, Leading Paid Traffic Specialist at eLama, will show you in a short video how to add a Yandex.Metrica counter to Google Tag Manager.
Let s imagine that Google Tag Manager has already been created and installed on the site. Now you just need to install Yandex.Metrica into the Tag Manager container.
We go to the Yandex.Metrica counter:
Copy the counter code and go to the Tag Manager. Click “Add new tag”.
Editing the configuration of the tag.
Select “Custom HTML”.
Insert the Yandex.Metrica code.
We give a name to the tag.
Slightly below – under the code – select triggers.
Click “All Pages” – all pages of the site.
Click the “Save” button.
After that, we send the changes to the site.
Click the “Publish” button.
You can skip the container version description.
Ready! After that, you can return to the work area.
To check whether the Yandex.Metrica tag will trigger on the site, you can enable the “Preview” function in GTM, go to the site, and refresh the page. In the preview window, you can make sure that Metrica is working.
You can go through the pages and check that Metrica works on all pages of the site.
