One of the main ranking factors that will keep your site in the top

Posted on 22.04.202122.04.2021

Website promotion is not an easy task. Search engines are constantly upgrading algorithms, so SEO specialists need to always be on trend with the latest updates. As a rule, good SEO specialists know many different factors and act on them in order to bring a website to the top of search engines for a specific request.

But what if I told you that there is only one factor that matters to keep you in the top?

Are ranking factors that important?

It takes effort to stay at the top. As in the fire, you need to throw firewood so that it does not go out. But to stay in the top, you need to get there first. This is where we need to know about ranking factors. I have already written in detail about the important ranking factors here, so I will mention only briefly: ranking factors are the data that search engines rely on when compiling results. These may include:

  • ICS (site quality index),

  • reference weight,

  • number of pages on the site (assortment).

If your site has good indicators, then it ranks better and, as a result, is in the top.

Major ranking factor

People go to the Internet, ask something, and the search engine gives them an answer. If the user finds what he was looking for on the site that is in the first place, then the issue is relevant to the request. And since it matches the request, the user leaves happy, and then returns to this search engine and does not use other search engines “on the side”. Therefore, it is very important for Google and Yandex to give users a clear and complete answer to their request.

That is, it is not so important for search engines how the site got to the top. If he gives the correct answer to the user, then he is there deservedly.

How to understand that the user received a response on the service site or in the online store?

  • If the user has clicked on the “Request a call back” button and entered his data there.

  • If the user clicks on the number and contacted the company.

  • If the user copied the number and saved it.

And after one of these actions, he did not return to the search results and did not continue the search. If the user receives a response on the communication site, he no longer returns to the SERP and closes the browser. This becomes a signal for the search engine.

The author of the telegram channel Hey, moneymaker! expressed this idea in a rougher form, and then suggested unsubscribing from all other SEO channels. The VC article states that these behavioral factors play the most important role in frequency queries.

Roughly speaking, this is the main ranking factor. But how do you get users to find the complete answer on your site?

How can this factor be improved?

To improve this factor, it is advisable to first work on other ranking factors. As I said, in order to stay in the top, you first need to get there. And for this you need to make sure that there are no technical errors on your site. Check for broken links and complete all meta tags.

Besides technical errors, it is important to have good business factors. How to understand that the commercial factors of the site are good? Let s say you are dealing with plastic windows. You need to open a browser tab in incognito mode and enter the query “plastic windows” in the search bar. Those sites that are in the search results for this query in the first places have good commercial factors. Perhaps they have information about promotions on their site, the operating mode is indicated in the site header or company details in the basement, but there is no such thing on your site. This means that this is your point of growth – you should work on it. Particular attention should be paid to the same buttons, order forms and phone numbers. Are they clearly visible? Do you want to click on them?

Improving ranking with cheat

I do not recommend cheating. But I think that for general erudition it will be useful to know that with the help of cheating, you can pump this ranking factor as well. There are programs that wind up behavioral factors, with their help, profiles are registered in Yandex. After registration, the profile is kept in check, and then begins to walk around the sites, disguising itself as a person. After the bot “walks up”, it comes to the site of interest to us at the request that we specified in the program, and imitates user behavior.

In cheat programs, there is a “Active Actions” function. These actions include, for example, clicking on the “Order a call” button. In the program, we indicate how many bots simply visit the site, and how many clicks on the button. Thus, we artificially improve the main ranking factor.

Yes, the idea of ??the main factor is so simple – give an answer to the user and everyone will be fine. Some sites get to the top, but after a while they fly out of there. Most likely, they crash because users are not getting the information they need.

Did you receive an answer to your request after reading the article?
