Facebook developers have offered social network users new ways to make money on video.
First, the requirements for the monetization of streams and game videos have been updated. To activate ads in videos, the profile on the social network must have a total of at least 600,000 minutes of views and at least 5 videos on the channel.
Secondly, the rules for short videos have changed. Previously, ads were available for videos with a duration of 3 minutes or more. The company has lowered this limit to 30 seconds. In longer videos, the first commercial can now be displayed as early as 45 seconds (previously you had to wait at least a minute).
And the last innovation is the ability to receive money directly from viewers. They will be able to buy stickers during live broadcasts, and the streamer will receive part of the money spent by the user. A similar method of donating to authors exists on the popular streaming platform Twitch.
According to Search Engine Journal, while the innovations are not available to all users, there are regional restrictions. To check if you can use new monetization methods on your page, you need to open the Creator Studio service and find there the item corresponding to the selected method of earning on your channel.
